报告摘要:Hopf algebras and Rota-Baxter algebras are both important

algebraic structures with broad applications. For example, they are the two

main algebraic structures in the Connes-Kreimer approach to quantum field

theory renormalization. This talk will give some idea of such applications,

but will focus on Hopf algebra structures from Rota-Baxter algebras, with

the first one being the divided power algebras. We show that free

Rota-Baxter algebras in both the commutative and noncommutative contexts

give natural Hopf algebras.
