报告摘要：In this talk, we will recall some of the most important results on Ball Covering Property and introduce the most recent developments on this topic. A list of open problems and related questions will be presented. Group discussions are encouraged and new thoughts and ideas are extremely welcome!

报告人简介：郑本拓,  Ph.D. in Mathematics, Texas A&M University (2007), 主要研究方向是Banach空间几何性质及其应用；非线性泛函分析。博士期间解决著名的具有无条件基Banach空间的子空间刻画问题，回答了泛函分析国际顶级专家H. Rosenthal提出的一个三十多年的公开问题，并在UT-Austin博士后阶段运用空间理论对调和分析领域关于Lp空间函数平移的一个公开问题给出否定回答；在孟菲斯大学任教期间，完全证明弱有界逼近性质和强逼近性质对于任意Banach空间的等价性，解决了逼近性质资深专家Oja的一个猜想，先后主持美国国家自然科学基金NSF两项，已在国际著名数学期刊Duke Math. J., Trans. A.M.S., J. Func. Anal.等发表论文20余篇。
