报告题目：Recent development in the study of Diophantine approximation

报告摘要：In this talk, I'll describe some recent progress in the study of Diophantine approximation. If time permits, I will also talk about the corresponding development in the study of holomorphic curves. 

报告人简介：教授于1983年和1986年在华东师范大学数学系分别获得学士和硕士学位，1990年在美国圣母大学获得博士学位，1990年至1992年在新加坡国立大学任助理教授，1992年至1995年在哈佛大学任助理教授，1995年至1997年在休斯敦大学任助理教授，其中1996年1月至1996年6月伯克利数学研究所做研究，1997年至2002年在休斯敦大学任副教授，2002年至今任休斯敦大学教授。主要从事复几何、丢番图逼近和微分几何的研究，至今已有多篇文章发表在国际顶尖数学杂志 《Ann. Math.》 和 《Invent. Math.》 上。
