Abstract: We introduce some basic concepts for subgroups actions on homogeneous spaces.Along the way, we review some history of mixing for subgroup actions.Then we introduce  recent progress on effective mixing and effective equidistributions for one parameter subgroup actions. If time permits we will discuss some applications of the resul.
