摘要:A class of nonlinear integrable PDEs admit some special weak solutions called “peakons”, which are characterised by ODE systems, namely peakon lattices. The celebrated Toda lattice was originally obtained as a simple model for describing a chain of particles with nearest neighbor exponential interaction. For some initial value problems, these lattices can be explicitly solved by use of inverse spectral method. The solutions are intimately related to partition functions of random matrix ensembles. In this talk, I will introduce our recent results on these related topics. I will mainly take Camassa-Holm peakon and Toda lattices, 2- component modified Camassa-Holm interlacing peakon and Kac-van Moerbeke lattices as examples and show how they correspond to the partition functions of unitary ensembles. The talk is based on several joint works with Xingbiao Hu, Shihao Li, Jacek Szmigielski.

报告人简介:常向科于2014年博士毕业于中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院,曾在加拿大萨斯喀彻温大学进行博士后研究以及学术访问。主要从事可积系统及相关领域的交叉研究,部分工作发表于《Comm. Math. Phys.》、《Adv. Math.》、《Numer. Math.》、《SIAM J. Discrete Math.》等期刊。曾获得中科院百篇优秀博士论文奖,中科院院长奖学金优秀奖,中科院数学与系统科学研究院突出科研成果奖等荣誉。
