报告题目：Zeta and Multiple zeta values

报告摘要：The Riemann Zeta values at positive integers greater than 1 have been studied since Euler-Bernoulli time. The problem of finding all the algebraic relations among these values is still not solved today. Euler also initiated the study of (several variables) Multiple Zeta values which have many more algebraic relations. This is still a very active research topic nowadays. In the last three decades, we have been working on an analogue of these zeta values in positive characteristic. In this talk, I shall explain our efforts trying to grasp the algebraic relations among various zeta values.

报告人简介：于靖教授1973年于台湾师范大学取得学士学位，1980年于耶鲁大学取得博士学位，师从著名数学家Serge Lang教授。1982年至1984年访问法国南巴黎大学，1987年至1988年访问普林斯顿高等研究院，曾访问过法国高等科学研究院、巴黎七大、德国马普数学研究所、美国国家数学科学研究所、中国晨兴数学中心等科研机构。他从1997到1999年，他到新竹清华大学协助设立“国家理论科学研究中心”（NCTS），并且担任数学组主任。从2002年8月开始他专任台湾清华大学数学系教授，并且再度担任NCTS数学组主任。从2002年8月起，他也是台湾“中央研究院”数学研究所的合聘研究员。自2006年起担任“国家理论科学研究中心”主任。现为台湾大学教授、台湾“中央研究院”院士、世界科学院院士、美国数学会会士。他主要从事数论和算术几何的研究，在 《Ann. of Math.》、《Invent. Math.》和《Duke Math. J.》等世界顶尖数学杂志上发表过多篇论文。
